Early Years SEN Practitioner

Up to £12.65 per hour - SEN Role

Permanent position 10-25 hours per week, all year round or term time only considered, up to £12.65 per hour dependent on qualifications and experience.

We are looking for a nurturing and enthusiastic practitioner to work alongside our nursery setting SENDCO in supporting our SEN provision within the nursery environment for children aged 9 months to 5 years. This role is not about paperwork or funding claims, it is to work with the children on specific tasks as directed by the setting SENDCO, examples include running SEN group times with children, making observations and gathering information about SEN children, following individual child SEN plans amongst others. Consequently this person must have experience of working with children, preferably in early years, and have a nurturing, kind, positive and patient approach to work with our precious children. They should be able to show to us their passion in this field of work and be committed to it for the future.

The successful candidate may have a SEN qualification but this is not required if the person fit is right for our team, training can be considered for the right person.

Candidates who would prefer to work more hours per week should also apply as this is a large setting and we do have some flexibility in what we offer. Part time hours can be spread across the week and this point can be discussed at interview.
